Match Day Information

We look forward to welcoming members and supporters of both Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire to the Brightside Ground, Bristol for our Specsavers County Championship match on Tuesday 18 September.  

Gates will be open at 9.00am, no entry will be allowed in advance of this time. 

Match starts at 10.30am.

There will be no Grace Dining on the third day of our match against Northants.

The Grace Room will be available for viewing, the Optimum Sports Bar is open every match day and serves a selection of hot and cold food and has daily special and vegetarian options. The Optimum bar also sells the 'Chef's dish of the day' for only £6.

Please check your tickets before you arrive at the ground. 

The main entrance to the ground is the Ashley Down Road entrance, postcode BS7 9LU. If you are collecting tickets, please arrive at the Nevil Road entrance.

Parking -

We strongly advise that all members and spectators travelling to the ground make use of public transport.  Please see below details on bus and train services to the Brightside Ground.

Limited parking may be available in the City of Bristol College car park, off Ashley Down Road (postcode BS7 9LU).  This is subject to availability and not guaranteed.

For those members who are Pass Holders (previously purchased 2018 parking permits, Premier Club members or blue badge holders) there are a limited number of spaces via the Nevil Road entrance of The Brightside Ground, but these are only available on a first come first served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Wheelchair access is available at both entrances and the open nature of our ground means that wheelchairs can be readily accommodated.  If you have any questions please call our Reception on 0117 910 8000 or email reception@glosccc.co.uk

Bus Service -

The Brightside Ground, Bristol on Nevil Road, is easily accessible by bus: Services 17, 70/71, 72, 73, 75, 76, T2 all run within a five minute walk of the main entrance using stops on the nearby Gloucester Road (Services 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, T2), Muller Road (Service 17) and  Ashley Down Road (Service 70).  All buses operate at regular intervals, Service 75 and 76 run 24 hours a day.

Train Service -

The nearest train station to The Brightside Ground is Montpelier, approximately 1 mile from the Club and close to other public transport.  The station has direct lines through to Bristol Temple Meads. Please note that Bristol Parkway is closed for three weeks due to works taking place.

Museum & Learning Centre

Next door to the Stumps Cafe at the Ashley Down Road end of the ground is the recently opened and highly praised GCCC Museum and Learning Centre which is run by GCCC Heritage Trust, an independent charity.  Known as the MLC, entry is through the café. The MLC is open on match days (excluding T20 games) for an hour before play and during the lunch interval.

Grace Dining

Support Gloucestershire and cheer them on in style with a fabulous dining experience in the Bristol Pavilion here at the Brightside Ground, Bristol. Make sure you get in early to cheer the team to victory!

The Optimum Sports Bar

There are a variety of food and drink outlets at the ground.  The Optimum Sports Bar is open every match day and serves a selection of hot and cold food and has daily special and vegetarian options. The Optimum bar also sells the 'Chef's dish of the day' for only £6.

Stumps Café

The Stumps Café located at the Ashley Down entrance of the ground is open and serves a selection of hot and cold food and has and vegetarian options.

Members' Forum (Wednesday 19 September)

On the second day of the match, there will be a Members' Forum in the Jessop Suite in the Bristol Pavilion at the Lunch Interval.
