Membership Cards and Match Arrangements
Members are able to gain admission to matches included within their membership via their membership cards without any requirement to pre-book.
If you were not a Member in 2022, you should by now have received a new membership card or otherwise had communication from the club requesting a photograph.
If you were a Member in 2022, you should continue to use the card already issued to you unless you have been sent a new card.
If you have any query regarding your membership card, please contact the Club ahead of your first visit.
Membership Area
After its successful launch last season, we are delighted to advise that Members will continue to have access to part of The Grace Room for all County Championship and One Day Cup fixtures and will be able to make use of the bar.
The Members-only viewing area will be on The Hammond Roof and Terrace (subject to availability during County Championship matches and One-Day Cup fixtures).
Our newly formed Members’ Working Group (MWG) met in early March to agree on access rights to Members’ facilities at both Bristol and Cheltenham during the coming season. The group agreed the following policy;
At Bristol, the Club will allow all guests of Gloucestershire Members, Members of the opposition Club and Members of Clubs with whom we have a reciprocal arrangement (Worcestershire, Hampshire and Essex) to use the Members’ facilities.
In order to assist the stewards and to allow easy re-entry into the Members’ area, the Club will ask all guests of Members without a Members’ Guest Pass, to visit Club Reception on arrival at the ground to collect a wristband confirming their status as a ‘Members’ Guest’. Your host Member should be present when requesting a wristband.
At Cheltenham, spectators with a ‘Members’ Guest Pass’ will be allowed to use the Members’ facilities on the date for which the ticket is valid at no extra charge. Guests of Members without such a ticket will be asked to pay a small surcharge. The level of this charge will be agreed at the next meeting of the MWG. Members of the opposition club will also be welcome to use the Members’ area but those spectators attending via our reciprocal arrangements will not be admitted, due to limitations on space.
Guest Tickets
We are pleased to confirm that Full Members will be able to make use of 4 free County Championship tickets and 2 free One Day Cup tickets for friends and family.
One-Day Members will be able to take advantage of 2 One Day Cup tickets.
These should be booked for specific matches via your online account alongside any additional tickets you may wish to purchase. Once you have logged in to your account, you should be able to see the 'Member's Guest Pass' option under each of the relevant matches.
Tickets will be e-mailed to you within two weeks of the match.
Catering and Facility Enhancements for 2023
As a result of member feedback, catering has been brought in house for the new season with the Club now directly responsible for all catering facilities within the ground. In addition to the existing Thatchers Café and Legends Bar, a new bar facility is being permanently installed behind The Mound Stand which will be open during Blast and the more well-attended matches. A 10% discount for members will be available at all bars.
The Jessop Room (in the ground floor of The Pavilion) will continue to be open to spectators to sit and shelter from any inclement weather conditions.
International Matches & Complementary Games
Tickets are still available for the two mouth-watering International matches taking place this summer – the Women’s Ashes match between England and Australia on Wednesday 12th July and the Men’s ODI between England and Ireland on Tuesday 26th September.
We are also thrilled to confirm that Gloucestershire will be playing New Zealand in a T20 match on Sunday 27th August as the tourists prepare for their white ball matches against England. This fixture will be free to attend for Members who can simply turn-up on the day.
All Gloucestershire Members will also continue to gain free access to all Western Storm matches held in Bristol and at Cheltenham.
Reciprocal Arrangements
Reciprocal arrangements continue in 2023 with Worcestershire, Hampshire and Essex all allowing admission to Full Members of Gloucestershire to County Championship matches when Gloucestershire are not the opponents.
We recommend Members contact the respective reciprocal county ahead of their first visit to confirm admission/ticketing arrangements.
Shop
The Club Shop is open at the Seat Unique Stadium and Visit Cayman Islands Cheltenham Cricket Festival on first XI match days. Members benefit from a 10% discount on production of their Membership Card. Otherwise, you can browse our range and purchase items 24 hours per day via the 'Shop' link on our website. We are sorry, but we can’t currently accept discount codes online.
Scorecards
Scorecards will be available from the Club Shop on match days priced at £1.50 each. Proceeds from the sale of scorecards will be spent on the Club’s environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Premier Club Upgrades (Premier Club Members only)
Premier Club Members can (subject to attendance levels) invite guests to join them in the Premier Club. Each Member can upgrade someone for free on eight occasions during Championship matches. Any additional upgrades are charged at £15. These can only be booked on the day. You should report to reception with your guest to obtain a Premier Club guest pass and make payment (if applicable).
Junior Members’ Day
Our Junior Members’ Day this year will take place on Sunday 27 August when New Zealand play Gloucestershire in a T20 match.
Keep the date free! There will be opportunities for our Junior Members to show off their skills during organised coaching sessions, meet some of the players, and enjoy a tour of our museum and ground. More details and booking arrangements will follow shortly.
Ground Regulations
No alcohol is to be brought into the ground on any match day in 2023. Members are welcome to bring food and soft drinks but no glass is permitted.
Both the Seat Unique Stadium and Cheltenham College will remain cashless venues.
