Gloucestershire Cricket is one of the 18 first class County Cricket Clubs in the UK. Established in 1870, our first senior match was captained by one of the most influential cricketers and one of our founding members WG Grace.
Our home, Seat Unique Stadium, is based in the heart of Bristol just off the Gloucester Road in the Bishopston area. In recent years, a complete redevelopment of our facilities has transformed the ground and has enabled us to bring international cricket to Bristol.
The Bristol Pavilion, which has also been newly refurbished, offers state-of-the-art media and hospitality facilities perfect for both match day and non-match day events. On top of that, The Pavilion houses some of the best views in the ground from right behind the bowler’s arm.
Our Mission is: “To sustain, develop and grow Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in order to be successful in the enterprise of cricket”.
That’s why we take pride in our Gloucestershire Cricket Academy which has developed some fine professionals such as Chris Dent, David Payne, Jack Taylor, Matt Taylor and Miles Hammond who all graduated from the Academy to the first team. Our club has a strong focus on developing young talent and we are looking forward to seeing our current academy players follow in the footsteps of our first XI stars.
At Gloucestershire Cricket, we place a major emphasis on creating and nurturing relationships with the local community. Our close partner Gloucestershire Cricket Board is responsible for the establishment and progression of recreational cricket across Bristol and all of Gloucestershire, this includes but is not limited to providing community programmes in hundreds of schools and clubs every year.
Our supporters are the driving force behind the club and we would like to thank you for your support with fantastic cricket and hospitality at Seat Unique Stadium.
