Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, said:

“We greatly appreciate the support of the ECB and each of the venues involved in hosting this series. This will be a great set of fixtures being played in some of England’s finest and most atmospheric grounds.

We are delighted to return to Bristol, after the Irish men’s team received such a warm welcome from fans in 2017. On that day, we may have been playing against the home side England, but the atmosphere and goodwill was a strong memory we took away – aided, of course, by some vocal Irish voices who were enjoying a wonderful day out. We hope to see the local fans, regardless of allegiance, come out and enjoy what will undoubtedly be a competitive spectacle.”

Fans of the Bangladesh Cricket team showed up in their thousands to support their team who were due to play Pakistan in the 2019 Cricket World Cup in Bristol.

Will Brown, Chief Executive of Gloucestershire Cricket said:

“The Club couldn’t be happier to host both Ireland and Bangladesh at Bristol County ground once again. Both teams bring with them passionate supporters and we believe it will be a tightly contested match that will capture the attention of all cricket fans.

We’ve had so many positive experiences with both teams at the Ground and are expecting more of the same come May. We are lucky to have the fixture fall in the May half-term break which will be the perfect time for families to come and experience international cricket.”
