Our second nominee for ‘Supporters’ Player of the Season’ is Gloucestershire’s most capped T20 player Ian Cockbain.

Ian surpassed Gloucestershire legend Michael Klinger as Gloucestershire’s all time T20 run scorer in 2020, an incredible achievement for the Liverpudlian. Cockbain now sits top of the leaderboard with a grand total of 3,064 runs.

Cockbain would finish fourth in runs scored in the competition with an impressive 399 runs at an average of 44.33. He also topped the sixes category with 22, 13 more than any other Gloucestershire player.

Most Gloucestershire supporters will remember one of the finest performances of the season against Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston live on Sky Sports Cricket. Cockbain smashed his way to 84 runs off only 35 balls, his superb innings included a staggering seven 6’s along with six 4’s.
