GCCC Heritage Trust invites you to the 1973 Gillette Cup 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner

13 July 2023

GCCC Heritage Trust will host a celebration dinner on September 1st 2023 at the Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol to commemorate the victory of the 1973 Gloucestershire team in the historic 1973 Gillette Cup final.

Joined by special guests, the evening promises to be a nostalgic journey back to that momentous year, honouring the cricketing legends who brought glory to the Club.

The evening will feature a series of captivating player interviews and talks, allowing attendees to delve into the fascinating stories and insights of our 1973 heroes.

The event will raise funds for both the GCCC Heritage Trust and the Gloucestershire Cricket Trust. These charities aim to advance the education of Gloucestershire’s rich heritage, bringing it to life through the Museum and Learning Centre, and supporting individuals and projects expanding and diversifying the reach of cricket throughout the county.

There are two ticket options to choose from, as the event takes place across three of the Pavilion’s distinguished function rooms. Guests are invited to wear smart attire.

The Silver Package, priced at £85 for individuals or £800 for a table of ten, grants guests access to a delightful four-course meal, including tea/coffee and accompanied by a half bottle of wine per person. A pre-dinner drinks reception with a pay bar will be held at 6pm in the Jessop Suite for those on this package, setting the stage for an evening of camaraderie and celebration.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, the Gold Package offers an opportunity to indulge in cocktails and appetizers at a pre-dinner reception with former players at 6pm in the Premier Lounge. Priced at £100 for individuals and £900 for a table of ten, the Gold Package is your chance to mingle with the revered players who graced the field in 1973.

As Gold Package spaces are limited, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The evening will be skilfully presided over by Phil James, before renowned auctioneer and antiques expert, Adam Partridge, famous for his appearances on BBC programmes Bargain Hunt and Flog It, will conduct an exclusive auction providing guests an opportunity to bid for

unique memorabilia and experiences associated with our illustrious game.

To add an extra sprinkling of nostalgia, each guest will also receive a special souvenir programme with full details from the 1973 competition.
