James Bracey to cycle from London to Paris for charity
5 September 2023
Gloucestershire wicketkeeper-batter James Bracey will cycle from London to Paris in October to raise money for the Professional Cricketers' Trust (PCA).
The mammoth ride, which will take place over four days between October 10th and October 13th, will see the James join a group of riders for a cross-channel cycle from the Oval, in London, to the capital of France, Paris.
A journey of more than 250 miles, the fundraising ride will begin on World Mental Health Day, October 10th, and will raise vital funds for the Professional Cricketers' Trust's mental health services.
By taking part in the bike ride of a lifetime, the group of rides hope to raise at least £50,000 for Trust, which was created to support players throughout their active careers and long afterwards, funding life changing medical assistance, crisis helplines and educational programmes in England and Wales.
James took part in a similar challenge in October 2021 when he cycled from Paris to London in support of the PCA, which faced an estimated fundraising shortfall of £200,000 in 2020 due to Covid.
