A weekend to remember for Andrew Tye

Australia and Gloucestershire paceman Andrew Tye had a day to remember on Sunday, snaring five wickets against England in the ODI match in Perth, before being bought for $1.4 million in the IPL auction.

Tye has been a star in the BBL for the Perth Scorchers, and his hot form was rewarded when he was picked up by Kings XI Punjab.

He has taken 16 wickets for the Scorchers this season in just six matches, at an average of 12, helping Perth to yet another semi-final.

The deal was announced on the same day Tye made a career-best figures of 5-46 in the ODI loss to England at Perth Stadium.

Tye will join up with his Gloucestershire team mates prior to the T20 Blast campaign which starts on Friday 6 July.
