Postponement of Winter Training Programmes (Boy's County Age Group, Development & EPP)

Due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, GCCC have made the decision to postpone all Winter Training Programmes for the Boy's County Age Group (CAG & Development U10's to U18's) & EPP Squads until further notice. With the vast majority of the county being in Tier 4 and with players having to travel in between tiers to attend the programme, we had to ensure the safety of our players and staff for the commencement of the programmes therefore being postponed.
We are extremely disappointed that we have had to make this decision as our coaches were raring to get started to see all the players gear up for the season ahead. Our coaches have been busy in preparation to make the programmes as productive and enjoyable for all involved. Unfortunately, this will be on hold for now and we will be ready as soon as it is safe to do whilst adhering to government guidelines.
We also must adhere to the various venues we are using for the programmes (again, majority currently sitting in Tier 4) which are throughout the county and what their protocols are along with the ever-changing restrictions, so we feel the decision that has been made is the right one moving forward.
We will be keeping in close contact with all parents and carers to make them aware of when we can safely start, and we are hopeful we can do this sooner rather than later. We understand the disappointment that this will cause, and we will be reviewing the situation frequently to keep all updated.
