Gloucestershire U13's CAG vs Cricket Wales (Friendly)

Hatherley & Reddings CC hosted our U13’s County Age Group against Cricket Wales on a scorching of a day in Cheltenham. Skipper Logan Bowden won the toss and made the decision to bat first on a beautifully prepared wicket.

Gloucestershire struggled to form any distinctive partnerships throughout their innings due to a strong Welsh bowling attack. Theo Rogers for Wales in particular, taking 4 wickets for 15 runs in his spell as Wales took regular wickets to bowl Gloucestershire for 93 runs. A special mention must go to Wilf Newton who batted with great determination at the top of the order as he hit 33 runs off 75 balls to dig the home side out of a hole.

In reply Cricket Wales had an early wobble with Pravar Timmaraju dismissing their opener for a duck however, Cricket Wales looked dominant with the bat and chased the total down within 17 overs winning by 8 wickets. Welsh batsman Lewis Popple hitting a well made 46 runs off 50 balls.
