RIGHT ARM FAST WITH SWAGGER

Signed by Gloucestershire in September 2021, Ajeet Singh Dale had an injury-interrupted first season with Gloucestershire but showed huge promise as the final fixtures of the 2022 season played out.

Seven wickets in Shire’s final three Championship fixtures against Somerset, Warwickshire and Yorkshire helped Glos to their first two wins in Division One since 2005.

Those seven wickets meant Singh Dale’s red-ball tally in an injury-hit first season for Glos was 18. Two wickets in the Club’s Royal London Cup campaign gave Gloucestershire management the incentive they needed to extend the young seamer’s contract.

Signing a two-year contract extension in January 2023, Singh Dale will continue playing his cricket at the Seat Unique Stadium until at least 2025.

Singh Dale originally signed for Glos after catching the eye of Shire’s Second XI coaches in a Second XI Championship match for Hampshire at Rockhampton. Match figures of 5/30 were enough to make Glos coaches move quickly. Singh Dale played his next match in a Gloucestershire shirt, taking a wicket with his fourth ball against Sussex Second XI.
