Young Efforts Not Enough

Ed Young top scored with 37 as Gloucestershire were restricted to 157-8 in the Second XI Trophy match with Northamptonshire at Dunstable Cricket Club.

David Payne (25 not out) and Graeme McCarter (22 not out) did their best to boost a modest total, which didn't prove enough.

Northants claimed a five-wicket victory with seven balls to spare, despite McCarter taking 3-25, Scott Phillips 1-20 and Young 1-27.
