We look forward to welcoming Members and supporters of England and Sri Lanka to the Bristol County Ground for the Royal London One-Day International match taking place on Sunday 4 July at 11:00am.
Gloucestershire Cricket wants to make your visit as safe and as enjoyable as possible so, to help with your visit to the Bristol County Ground, please take a look at our Visitor Information guide that we have put together for you. As per local government advice it is important that all spectators understand that the City of Bristol is currently experiencing COVID-19 rates above the national average and that all spectators must comply fully with the visitor information below but that they attend at their own risk.

How do I access the NHS COVID Pass to use on entry?
You can do this by downloading the NHS App onto your smartphone – please note this is different to the NHS COVID-19 Track and Trace App. The NHS COVID Pass is available on the NHS app – click on ‘Get Your NHS Covid Pass’ when you enter the app.
This will allow you to show your vaccination or lateral flow test status as you enter the venue.
Alternatively, you can download and show an offline version or print a copy of your status and show the printed version instead.
If you don’t have access to a computer or smartphone, then you can order a copy of the NHS COVID Pass letter if you have been vaccinated by telephoning 119. Please note that the letter can take up to 5 working days to reach you.

What do I need to do to ensure my NHS COVID Pass allows me entry?
If you have had both vaccinations (first and second dose) and your second dose was at least 14 days prior to the date of the match, then the COVID Pass will allow you entry.
If you have proof of a negative lateral flow test, which must have been taken within the 24hrs prior to attending the match (and only for people aged 11 and over), this can be displayed via the NHS app.

Children under the age of 16 (aged 11 and over) will need to register their results online and can either display the results via text message or email.
Demonstrate proof of having natural immunity, based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the event will allow entry on match day.
Even if you have proof of a negative lateral flow test or have been fully vaccinated please do not come to the ground if you or are any of your household are displaying Covid symptoms or feel unwell.

Personal Details and Consent
As this is a scientific study and within the venue current Covid legislation will be disapplied, a condition of entry for all attendees is to provide their personal details and consent to taking part in the Events Research Programme (ERP).
As the ticket purchaser you must ensure that you, and anyone attending the fixture with you, complete the consent form here.
Please complete this form as soon as possible. This must be completed by all attendees prior to the match-day.

Tickets
Please enter the ground at the gate designated on your ticket. And don’t forget to bring your mobile or tablet device which will display your e-ticket. You will need your e-ticket with you to ensure that you gain entry to the Bristol County Ground on Match Day.
All tickets for this fixture are digital and will be shared via email as both a .PDF and for you to download to your mobile phone wallet.
Tickets can be printed at home, but we actively discourage this method to avoid Covid transmission and for environmental sustainability reasons.
What procedures have been put in place to ensure the Bristol County Ground is a safe venue?
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have been working hard to make sure the Bristol County Ground follows all UK Government and local guidelines to allow us to re-open to the public safely.
We know things can change and we’ve made our approach flexible so we can react to any changes to the guidelines, when necessary.
As part of this, we have introduced a number of new and improved health, safety and cleanliness procedures to provide greater reassurance to all visitors as part of Our Promise in response to COVID-19.
- Social Distancing - You will be asked to maintain social distancing while queueing to enter Bristol County Ground. Once you are inside the ground, social distancing is no longer required.
- Hygiene & Cleanliness – New and improved cleaning procedures are in place and we will provide a high level of hand sanitiser dispensers around the stadium.
- Contact Free Catering – Food and drink will be prepared on-site, maintaining the Bristol County Ground’s quality, wide range of choices and fresh produce.
- Enhanced Technology – Utilising the latest technology and offering a contactless entry into the stadium and latest match information, the Club has also introduced a new Club App which gives supporters the option to purchase drinks directly from the App.
- Staff Fully Trained – All staff are fully trained and working to new operational procedures.
- Communication – Ticket buyers will have regular communications from the Club ensuring that they have all the relevant information before and on match days.
What is the Events Research Programme (ERP)?
The Events Research Programme aims to examine the risk of transmission of Covid-19 from attendance at events and explore ways to enable people to attend a range of events safely.
To achieve this, the programme will explore how a combination of testing and non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs - actions that people can take to mitigate the spread of coronavirus) can inform decisions on safely lifting restrictions at events.
The pilot events will examine a range of factors, including but not limited to: indoor and outdoor settings; small and large venues; seated and standing events; different forms of audience participation; transport to and from events; duration; and ventilation.
Will spectators have to pay for testing?
No. All testing is free in relation to the Events Research Programme. NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Tests are free to order online via the gov.uk website.
How do participants prove they have had a Lateral Flow test?
When completing a NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test within 24 hours before the day you are attending, all spectators must log their negative result via the gov.uk website.
The NHS app will provide confirmation and results of your Lateral Flow Test.
On The Day
- On the game day itself, please make sure you arrive in good time. Your patience is much appreciated. Entry and exit to the ground will take time and bag searches will be conducted, so please bear with us and ensure you give yourself time.
- ID may be requested by stewards for spot checks at the gates on the day
- Gates will be open from 8:00am
- Please enter the ground at the gate designated on your ticket. And don’t forget to bring your mobile or tablet device which will display your e-ticket. You will need your e-ticket with you.
- You will not be able to change seats once at the ground.
- Stewards may ask to see your ticket to ensure that you are in the right seat and stand
We Are Now Cashless
In common with many other venues and to provide a safer and cleaner environment, the Bristol County Ground is now cashless, so please make sure you come prepared with your debit or credit card should you want to purchase refreshments or visit the shop.

What Is Zoned Off?
- Areas of the Bristol Pavilion will be zoned off for this match.
- Unfortunately, due to restrictions Members and supporters will not have access to the players. Players are not able to interact with spectators as they normally would, meaning that they are not allowed to pose for photos with kids or sign autographs.
Parking
There is NO parking available at the Bristol County Ground on the day.
Nevil Road Closure
Please note that Nevil Road will be closed to all vehicles from 7.30am until 10:30pm on Sunday 4 July. Arthur Milton Street is also closed.
Park & Ride Service
The Club have organised TWO Park & Ride service options for you on Sunday 4 July. We strongly advise that all supporters use our Park & Ride service. Please take a look at the Park & Ride details below:
Portway Park and Ride (BS11 9QE)
- 4 x Double Deckers (provide a minimum 15-minute frequency)
- Departures from Portway Park and Ride from 07:30 until 11:00 (gates open 08:00 and match starts 11:00)
- Departures from Bristol County Ground from approximately 18:00-18:30, with departures until 90 minutes after end of match
Bristol Parkway (BS34 8PU)
- 8 x Double Deckers (provides a minimum 7/8 minute frequency)
- Departures from Bristol Parkway from 07:30 until 11:00 (gates open 08:00 and match starts 11:00)
- Departures from Bristol County Ground from approximately 18:00-18:30, with departures until 90 minutes after end of match
Park & Ride Fares
- £5 adult return, with children under 16 travelling free of charge
- £6.20 parking charge at Bristol Parkway (standard weekend charge from Apcoa)
- Parking is free of charge at Portway Park and Ride
Bus Service
The Bristol County Ground is easily accessible by bus: Services 17, 70/71, 72, 73, 75, 76, T2 all run within a five-minute walk of the main entrance using stops on the nearby Gloucester Road (Services 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, T2), Muller Road (Service 17) and Ashley Down Road (Service 70). All buses operate at regular intervals throughout the day.

Train Service
The nearest train station to The Bristol County Ground is Montpelier, approximately one mile from the Club and close to other public transport. The station has direct lines through to Bristol Temple Meads and a regular schedule to Bristol Parkway.

Food & Drink
What is available on the day?
There will be a wide variety of food and drink options available on the day at the Bristol County Ground. You will be able to order drinks on the Glos Cricket app from the following bars:
- Thatchers Bar
- Mound Bar
- Procter Bar
Food available at the ground includes the following:
- Jolly Hog
- Momos (Tibetan style street food)
- Tast Raga (Jerk Chicken and more)
- Vegan Indian street food
- Fish & Chips
- Burgers & Hot Dogs
- Admission is subject to the ground regulations and no alcohol is permitted to any international one day match.
- Food & soft drinks are allowed on international match days. Glass or sharpe objects are not allowed.
- Please remember that all catering units are cashless.
- If you are queuing for food and beverage at the ground, please ensure that you are wearing a mask at all times and adhere to the COVID Etiquette.
- The maximum order at any time for Alcoholic drinks is four.
- All of our bars use eco-cups. Eco-cups are available at a deposit of £1 per cup and is refundable at the end of the match at each bar. When returning your Eco-Cups, please note that you can only return a maximum of 10 cups per person.

When You Are Leaving
Please ensure that you respect our neighbours when leaving the ground. Bristol County Ground is located in a residential area, so please do respect our neighbours when leaving.
Once you have exited the Bristol County Ground, please ensure that you leave the ground socially distanced.
Additional Information
- The Club has installed sanitisation stations around the ground.
- In order to ensure a safe and clean environment, please note that our cleaners will be operating around the ground during the match.
- Please ensure you bring waterproof clothing along with an umbrella should there be adverse weather on match days. The Club Shop located on the Kennington Avenue side of the ground will be selling umbrellas and ponchos.
- If you are cycling to the ground, you can place your bike at the bike racks located at the Ashley Down Road End of the ground. Please note, parking your bike is at your own risk.
- Scorecards will not be available in ground on match days. The Club have made a conscious choice, for environmental sustainability reasons, to print as little as it possibly can going forward.
