Travel back to 1977 with Gloucestershire Cricket on June 11th - Book today

10 June 2017

June 11th is a date not to miss for all Gloucestershire fans!

On the third day of the Championship match against Nottinghamshire, The Brightside Ground, Bristol, will be hosting the annual Former Players’ Reunion with a special focus on 1977: the year Gloucestershire won the Benson & Hedges Trophy and came the closest ever to that elusive Championship win.

We’ll be holding our annual Memorabilia Sale, with all profits going to the GCCC Heritage Trust to help maintain the recently-opened Museum & Learning Centre, another must-see on the day!

And at close of play, we’ll be gathering a panel of players from the 1977 season together for a unique 1977 Remembered Q&A event to relive that season. Special guests will be Mike Procter and teammates - Mike will be signing copies of his new book during the day, too.

This one-off special event will raise funds for the Mike Procter Foundation, launching in the UK this summer, which brings sport, education and hope to disadvantaged young people in the townships and rural communities of South and east Africa.

We really hope to see you!

Tickets for the 1977 evening must be booked in advance. They only cost £10-00 - all of which goes directly to the work of the Foundation.

The event will start after the close of play, from 6-45pm, in the Jessop Bar in the Bristol Pavilion, Cash bar available.

Tickets can be bought from club reception or over the ‘phone: 0117 910 8017
