Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival catering taken in-house

12 June 2024

Gloucestershire Cricket can confirm that catering for the Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival will be taken in-house for 2024 and beyond.

The Club is confident of an improved food offering across the festival, including in hospitality dining and multi-unit concessions, following a successful transition to in-house catering at the Seat Unique Stadium in early 2024.

Since the Club took catering in-house, feedback from hospitality guests has been exceptional, thanks to a much-improved food service. Grace Room dining guests have grown exponentially since the beginning of the County Championship campaign, and diverse multi-unit concessions have meant visitor dietary requirements are always catered for.

Geraint Rees, Catering General Manager at Gloucestershire Cricket, said:

We’re so excited to take our catering in-house at the festival this year. After making a similar move at the Seat Unique Stadium before the start of the season, we recognise it's given us more autonomy and flexibility over what we can offer to Members and supporters on matchdays.

The Club is fortunate to have a brilliant matchday catering team that knows the festival inside out, and now they have complete control over what we can achieve, we are in a fantastic position to replicate what we've done in Bristol in Cheltenham later this month.

With the decision to move Cheltenham Cricket Festival catering in-house taken in late 2023, the Club are confident that the planning and organisation that's taken place in the last nine months will see a vast improvement on last season when the Club were reliant on an external provider for food offerings.
