Tom And Miles In England Under-19 ODIs
25 February 2013
Gloucestershire players Tom Shrewsbury (pictured) and Miles Hammond have gained more international honours for England Under-19s in the five-match one-day international series in South Africa.
The two young off-spinners shared five appearances, with Tom playing in three of the games and Miles replacing him for two of the them.
Unfortunately, the hosts proved too strong for England in the 50-over format and achieved a 5-0 whitewash, but it was still great experience for the Gloucestershire duo.
Tom bowled a total of 25 overs in his three games, accumulating figures of 2-114 and sending down a full ten overs in the fourth match for only 36.
Miles, who also appeared in the two Test Matches which preceded the one-day games, bowled 10.3 overs in his two 50-over appearances, conceding 58 runs.
