Tavare And Cockbain Hit Tons As Seconds Win

Will Tavare and Ian Cockbain hit centuries as Gloucestershire beat Sussex by nine wickets in the Second XI Championship match at Frocester.
Tavare made 179 not out and Cockbain 167 to help their side to 433-6 declared on the opening day of the three-day fixture.
Sussex were then bowled out for 152 in reply, David Payne taking 5-32. Following on, the visitors mad a better fist of it and ran up 366 all out, with Paul Muchall, Matt Taylor, Tom Shrewsbury and Liam Norwell claiming two wickets each.
That left Gloucestershire with a simple victory target and Dan Housego hit an unbeaten 57 as they reached 86-1.
