Surrey game abandoned as weather wins
24 August 2015
The rain-ruined Championship match with Surrey was declared a draw shortly after 1.00 on the final day after further steady rain made the Bristol County Ground unplayable.
Umpires Russell Evans and Graham Lloyd decided that lunch should be taken at 1230 and it took only a brief inspection and a chat with the ground staff to decide that no play would be possible for the second day running.
Gloucestershire take 8 points and Surrey 11 points as both teams now prepare for ties in the last eight of the Royal London One-Day Cup later in the week.
