Rain Means Final Day Run Chase
13 May 2014
Only 17 balls were bowled because of rain on the third day of the LV=County Championship clash with Surrey at The Oval.
The hosts added six runs to their overnight score of 41, without losing a wicket and closed on 47-0, needing a further 220 runs to win on the final day.
Rain delayed the start and then set in again after a brief resumption. Another attempt to get the game restarted was made at 5pm, but again the weather intervened.
Graeme Smith is unbeaten on 39 and poses the biggest threat to Gloucestershire's hopes tomorrow.
