Paul van Meekeren earns Netherlands call-up
21 June 2022
Gloucestershire’s Paul van Meekeren has been called into the Netherlands ODI squad ahead of their final game against England.
Paul bounced back from injury in the early part of the season to make an instant impact for Gloucestershire in the T20 campaign. His recent run of good form, which has seen him take five wickets, has earned him a call-up to the national side for the final match of the series which England lead 2-0.
Paul made his one day international debut in 2013 against South Africa in Amstelveen and picked up the wicket of opener Hashim Amla in a 83 run defeat.
His last outing for the Dutch team was in Rotterdam in May 2021 against Scotland where he picked up one wicket from his seven over.
Currently Paul has seven ODI caps to his name along with seven wickets and will be hoping to add to that tally in the game at Amstelveen.
Go well, Paul.
