Team news
Dale Benkenstein selects a fourteen-player squad for the Warwickshire clash with Josh Shaw and Dom Goodman dropping out of the sixteen-player matchday squad that was selected for Friday's 23-run win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
Fresh from scoring 108 against the Steelbacks at Cheltenham College, Graeme van Buuren is included in the squad as are key wicket-takers in that match, Tom Price and Ajeet Singh Dale. Overseas signing Anwar Ali, who scored 61 on his debut, also makes the squad having had a match to find his feet at Gloucestershire.
Experienced campaigners Chris Dent, Jack Taylor and Paul van Meekeren also make up the travelling Shire squad.
Ben Charlesworth misses out as he continues to recover from a minor injury while long-term absentee Marchant de Lange also remains sidelined.
Your 14-player Gloucestershire squad to face Warwickshire:
Zaman Akhter, Anwar Ali, James Bracey, Chris Dent, Zafar Gohar, Joe Phillips, Tom Price, Ollie Price, Ajeet Singh Dale, Tom Smith, Jack Taylor, Paul van Meekeren, Graeme van Buuren, Ben Wells.
Last time out
Gloucestershire put in a disciplined performance as they defeated Northamptonshire Steelbacks by 23-runs. A first List A century in Shire colours for Graeme van Buuren, backed up by 61 by debutant Anwar Ali, guided Shire to eventual victory. Chasing Gloucestershire's 278, Steelbacks only managed to muster 255 but did well to recover from 54/6.
Four wickets apiece from Tom Price and Ajeet Singh Dale stunted the visitor's ability to seize control of the match.
Our opponents
Warwickshire have only played one match so far in this year's competition; a four-wicket win vs Somerset in Taunton. Ed Barnard led the way for the visitors with a well-made 94 with the bat, while Jake Linott took three wickets and Oliver Hannon-Dalby and George Garrett took two apiece.
Warwickshire last played Gloucestershire in List A cricket in August last year and were at the wrong end of an eight-wicket defeat. Before then, the two sides hadn't met since 2007.
