Norwell and Howell visit Local School as part of World Book Day
2 March 2017
For World Book Day and National Book Week, Gloucestershire players Benny Howell and Liam Norwell took time out of their busy Pre-Season schedule to visit Bishop Road Primary School.
Pupils from years two and three took it in turn to read out from a book of their choice while the Gloucestershire boys listened and assisted when a pupil needed help. Popular choices included 'The Midnight Gang' by David Walliams and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl.
At the end of the reading session, year three students Ayan and Usman sat down with Benny and Liam and asked them some questions.
Year Three Teacher, Tom Weller, assisted in organising the school's reading day and expressed his delight that Benny and Liam were able to pay a visit. He said: "We did something similar last year with the Gloucestershire players; having them come down again this year was great for the children and it's always good fun."
