Muchall Moves On With Coaching Aims
9 October 2013
Paul Muchall is leaving Gloucestershire after two years with the club in which first team opportunities have been limited.
The all-rounder signed a two-year contract on the eve of the 2012 season following a successful trial spell with the club.
Director of Cricket John Bracewell said: “Paul's opportunities over the last two years with us have been limited as he has had to compete for the all-rounder spot against Will Gidman and Benny Howell.
“This made it hard for him to break into the first team squad. Paul is to continue his coaching options and will no doubt excel in this.”
Paul’s first summer with the club saw him make four County Championship appearances and one in the CB40 competition. But this season he has been confined to second XI appearances.
He began his career with Durham and after progressing from Academy cricket spent three years there before moving to join MCC Young Cricketers for two seasons.
