Match With Welsh Dragons A Washout
23 June 2012
Gloucestershire's hopes of back-to-back Friends Life t20 wins in the space of 24 hours were dashed when the match against Welsh Dragons at Cardiff was abandoned without a bal bowled.
Heavy rain left the outfield saturated and there was little prospect of play as the 6pm start time approached. With the forecast for the evening poor, it was little surprise when the game was called off.
Both teams took one point and have indentical records in the Midlands/Wales/West Division with one win, one defeat and two no-results from their four games.
Gloucestershire's four points leave them four behind group leaders Somerset, who have played one more match. The next fixture is at home to Warwickshire on Wednesday evening.
