Housego Leads Seconds To Winning Run Chase
7 July 2014
Dan Housego hit 74 off 72 balls to help Gloucestershire to a five-wicket win over Yorkshire in a rain-affected second XI friendly at Bristol.
After the visitors had run up 305 batting first, the weather intervened and Gloucestershire were left with a revised target of 235 to win from 32 overs.
Marc Lezar gave the hosts a great start with 40 off just 24 balls before Housego built on his good work.
When Lezar was dismissed, Robbie Montgomery help keep up the necessary scoring rate with 39 off 30 deliveries.
Joe Barrett then hit 38 not out, including the winning runs with just two balls to spare in an exciting finish.
