Hamish Marshall Receives Batsman-of-the-Year Award
6 September 2012
Hamish Marshall was presented with the Moreton C Cullimore Cup as Gloucestershire’s Batsman-of-the-Year during the tea interval of the third day’s play in the LV=County Championship match against Northants at Bristol.
The club’s vice-captain is averaging just under 39 in Championship cricket this season, with an aggregate of 775 runs, and also topped Gloucestershire’s averages in the Friends Life t20 competition with 239 runs at an average of 34.19.
Hamish would normally have received his award at the club’s annual presentation night, which this year is on September 18.
Unfortunately, Roger Cullimore, who made the presentation, is unable to attend that evening so the handing over of the trophy was brought forward.
