Ground Redevelopment News
13 December 2012
Despite the recent sub-zero temperatures, the building contractors at the County Ground, Bristol have been working tirelessly on our ground redevelopment project.
The Jessop Stand is no more! Work is currently taking place to lay the foundations for an enabling development of 147 apartments and, currently, the Pavilion is looking very much the building site. However, once the refurbishment is complete our new Cricket Pavilion will be the star attraction for conference & banqueting (not just for cricket lovers here at the County Ground) but for the City of Bristol and wider Gloucestershire Region.
Our plans include three new major function rooms, all overlooking the pitch and all with full AV facilities:
- Ground Floor
Banqueting or hospitality for 250, windows looking onto the pitch, large bar, doors onto pitch side
- First Floor
350 for banqueting, up to 450 for conferences – panoramic views of the pitch, outside seating, large bar
- Second Floor
Premier Club Lounge for hospitality or conferencing for 120 with dedicated bar and kitchen, DOUBLE height, panoramic views of the pitch, outside seating
- 6 suites/hospitality boxes for smaller groups (six – ten – twelve)
- Banqueting/Meeting Room for up to 80, also overlooking the pitch
We will also have car parking for 300 cars
