Gloucestershire County Cricket Club
Ground Redevelopment Plans – latest news

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year.

As members and supporters will be aware, GCCC reluctantly agreed to the postponement of its planning application being heard by Bristol City Council’s Planning Committee on 23 November.

Since then, Officers of the Club and the Executive Board have worked tirelessly to address the queries raised by Bristol City Council.  As a result, GCCC's Planning Application will now be heard at a meeting of the Council’s Planning Committee on Wednesday 11 January 2012.  The meeting commences at 18.00 hours and is open to the public.  We would, therefore, be delighted to see any members who wish to attend in person.

Approval is not a foregone conclusion and the Club still needs YOUR support.  You can help to secure the future of International cricket at the County Ground, along with the economic benefits that such matches bring not only to the Club, but to the community of Bristol as a whole.
