Graeme van Buuren and Marchant de Lange lend helping hand to those in need this Christmas
16 December 2024
Gloucestershire's Graeme van Buuren and Marchant de Lange volunteered to help pack Christmas parcels to help make dreams come true for those who most need it most this festive period.
Both players joined a team of more than 50 volunteers at Bristol Rovers' Memorial Ground yesterday afternoon as more than 1,000 christmas hampers were created ready for delivery to homes across Bristol in time for December 25th.
The incredible act of kindness is in aid of Operation Community Hamper which, each December, embarks on a mission to assemble, wrap and deliver Christmas hampers to people in need. Started in 2020 by Charlotte Churchill, a kind-hearted mum from Keynsham, Operation Community Hamper is an entirely volunteer-run project that puts smiles on the faces of families across the Greater Bristol area each Christmas Day.
van Buuren and de Lange volunteered their spare time to support the incredible project, which continues to grow and support yet more people each year.
