Grace family speak to BBC Radio Bristol about bust unveiling at Glos Cricket
22 September 2021
Descendants of the Grace family, Charles Kidd and Gill Watts, spoke to BBC Radio Bristol yesterday (September 21) during the unveiling of a commemorative bust of their relative, W.G. Grace, at Bristol County Ground.
The famous cricketer, who was known as the "fist superstar of the game" and was born in Downend, Bristol, co-founded Gloucestershire CCC in 1870. As a way of honouring W.G. Grace's legacy and involvement in the formation of our Club, the majestic bronze bust will remain permanently on show outside the Bristol Pavilion as a way of preserving Grace's historic lifetime in cricket.
