Gloucestershire XI to face WEPL XI in T20 warm-up at Clifton College

A Gloucestershire XI will take on a West of England Premier League Select (WEPL) XI in T20 friendly match at Clifton College this Friday.

The fixture will feature a number of Gloucestershire’s first team players as the squad ramps up its preparations for the start of this season’s T20 Vitality Blast campaign. The Glos men’s XI match will start at 5pm and will follow a 12.30pm T20 showdown between Gloucestershire Ladies Academy and a Clifton College XI.

The T20 double-header will be open to the public from and free to enter, with all spectators able to buy food and drink from an onsite BBQ and bar throughout the event.

Both matches will be played at the iconic Clifton College and will provide an opportunity for some of the South West’s talented young cricketers to pit their wits against the professionals. Gloucestershire’s Talent Pathway Bowling Coach, Paul Muchall, will captain the WEPL XI team, who will be hoping to put the Glos players through their paces ahead of The Shire’s opening T20 match on May 26.

Gloucestershire kick off their T20 away at Middlesex next Thursday before returning to Bristol on 27 May to take on Sussex Sharks at the Seat Unique Stadium.

Spectators wishing to attend either match should enter Clifton College via the Pavilion Lane entrance.
