Gloucestershire fast-bowler Marchant de Lange ruled out for the rest of the season
8 June 2023
Gloucestershire fast-bowler Marchant de Lange has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a thigh injury.
The new recruit made a positive start to his career at Gloucestershire contributing with both bat and ball in Shire's opening LV= Insurance County Championship Division Two fixtures.
Unfortunately, however, Marchant suffered a thigh injury in the early stages of the T20 Vitality Blast campaign and underwent successful surgery on the injured muscle yesterday (Tuesday 7 June).
Everyone at Gloucestershire Cricket wishes Marchant all the best with his recovery and rehabilitation.
Steve Snell, Performance Director at Gloucestershire, said: "We're all hugely disappointed for Marchant that he's been ruled out for the rest of the season. Marchant has made a significant impact both on and off the field since his arrival, and we're going to do everything we can to ensure he is back out on the pitch as soon as possible."
