Gloucestershire exhibition match - Wednesday 5 July
4 July 2017
With Gloucestershire claiming victory over Glamorgan on the second day of our Specsavers County Championship match, we are pleased to announce that there will be an exhibition additional match for all supporters to enjoy.
A 30 over match between Gloucestershire Gipsies and Gloucestershire players (Past & Future) will be played at the Cheltenham College Ground on Wednesday 5 July as part of the festival.
The match will take place at 1:30pm and is FREE ENTRY.
The past and future Gloucestershire team will be captained by Mark Alleyne and will also feature a number of players familiar to Gloucestershire supporters.
The exhibition match will begin with Gloucestershire legend Mike Proctor bowling the first ball of the match.
The Gloucestershire Gipsies are a nomadic side who were founded in 1921. They consist of amateur cricketers from the county of Gloucestershire. They play other wondering sides such as the Somerset Stragglers, Warwickshire Imps and Worcestershire Gents. They also play against all the leading cricket schools in the county.
