Gloucestershire Cricket Hosts PCA Personal Development Event
26 November 2021
Gloucestershire Cricket teamed up with the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) on Tuesday 23 November to deliver a sponsor exhibition as part of their Personal Development and Welfare Program.
The Club and the PCA hosted the inaugural event in the off-season in 2019 in the premier lounge.
This year, Gloucestershire’s players and sponsors came together in the Grace Room in the Bristol Pavilion to try and further develop the relationship between the two.
Martin Cropper, Personal Development Manager at the PCA who helped facilitate the day said:
“It is terrific to be able to host this event again since the pandemic and working with Gloucestershire Cricket on achieving this and getting this organised has been great. What we try to do with sponsors is give them an opportunity to engage with the professional players. This gives sponsors and partners a chance to explain what they do and what they’re about.
We want to ensure that professional cricketers learn more about what goes on outside of cricket, and these engagement and development opportunities are a fantastic chance for the players and sponsors to collaborate with one another.”
Gloucestershire Cricket, Chief Executive Will Brown added:
“Providing our players with an opportunity to learn more about careers and opportunities outside of cricket is a brilliant thing to do and we are proud to put on this event alongside the PCA.
We would also like to thank our sponsors and partners who attended and provided an insight into their businesses and structure of their organisations.”
A total of seven sponsors attended the event showcasing their brand before interacting with the players and fellow sponsors.
We’d like to thank:
