Gladiators set for vital CB40 test

Gloucestershire Gladiators face a key game against Lancashire at Old Trafford on Monday in their attempt to qualify for the Clydesdale Bank 40 semi-finals.
Friday's victory over the Netherlands lifted Alex Gidman's side upto second in the table and further success on Monday will take them above Middlesex and into top spot.
However, fourth-placed Lancashire are also firmly in the mix for a semi-final place, with games in hand on the three teams above them. Only the winners from the three groups, plus the one best runner-up, qualify for the semi-finals.
Looking ahead to the game, Gidman said: "It's nice to be involved in the crunch end of the competition. We were knocked out of the Twenty20 the other night, which was a shame, but we're still in this competition and it's nice to be in the proper games towards the end of the group.
"We go up to Old Trafford full of confidence, knowing another two points will put us in great shape to qualify."
Gloucestershire have added Chris Dent to the squad which was on duty for the win over the Netherlands in Amsterdam.
Dent continued his comeback from a fractured finger by playing for Thornbury against Glastonbury on Saturday in the West of England Premier League.
