Funeral of former Club President Roger Gibbons to take place on Tuesday 25 March

The funeral of former Gloucestershire County Cricket Club President Roger Gibbons will take place on Tuesday 25 March at 11:15am at Canford Crematorium, Canford Lane, Westbury on Trym, Bristol BS9 3PQ.

Following the service, a celebratory Thanksgiving for Roger’s life will be held from 12:30pm at the Seat Unique Stadium, Nevil Road, BS7 9EJ, where tea and coffee will be available alongside a paid bar.

A buffet lunch will be served at 1:00pm, followed by the celebratory Thanksgiving event.

Parking will be available at the ground on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Given the expected large number of attendees, we kindly ask those planning to join us at the celebration to inform the Club in advance so that catering and seating arrangements can be made.

The GCCC Heritage Trust will provide flowers for the service and have asked attendees who wish to remember Roger to donate to the Trust instead of sending additional flowers.

Roger helped found the GCCC Heritage Trust for the running of the Club's museum, a charity so dear to his heart.

Closer to the funeral, an online donations page will be set up. If you would like to contribute, the Club will share more details in due course.

Those closest to Roger extend their heartfelt thanks for all the kind messages, tributes, and support received during this time.
