Cricket treat for Asda Kwik Cricket youngsters

A group of boys and girls from across Bristol & Gloucestershire enjoyed a great evening out at Friday’s FLt20 match courtesy of Gloucestershire Cricket and the Asda Kwik Cricket programme run by Gloucestershire Cricket Board.
Asda Kwik Cricket is part of a national programme supported by Asda and by Gloucestershire Cricket Board in Gloucestershire & Bristol where young people get the chance to enjoy games of “Kwik Cricket”. This fun format of cricket which can be played by youngsters of all abilities.
As part of the their participation in Asda Kwik Cricket the young people were offered a free ticket for Gloucestershire’s Friends Life t20 match against Northamptonshire last Friday at Bristol. The girls and boys had the chance to meet some of the Gloucestershire squad before the game, formed a guard of honour as the players came out onto the pitch and enjoyed a lap of honour around the ground at the interval.
This activity is part of a wider programme of community engagement with Gloucestershire Cricket which will see activity from all Gloucestershire Cricket Board’s community programmes at one day matches this summer in Bristol and at Cheltenham.

When Gloucestershire take on Warwickshire in the FL t20 match on Wednesday 27th June, it will be the turn of young people from Gloucestershire Cricket Board’s disability cricket programmes to attend the game.
