Coach Dawkins joining up with Scotland for Warm weather training camp

8 November 2018

Our Second XI and Batting Coach Owen Dawkins will be spending a week working as part of the Scotland coaching staff in their up coming trip to La Manga.

The La Manga training camp will focus on four key priorities agreed by the coaches and players, these being the development of power hitting, batting against spin, bowling skills, and leadership. The squad includes a mix of current internationals and a selection of younger players from the Performance Academy who coaches believe have the potential to play for Scotland.

Speaking on working with Scotland, Dawkins said: “I am very excited about linking up with a very talented group of players. I spent a few days with the Scotland A team last summer and very much enjoyed the experience coaching alongside Grant Bradburn who is now the Pakistan Fielding Coach.

The opportunity to work with the full squad will be fantastic. We all saw how well Scottish Cricket is going with their ODI win over England. The chance to work with players who are performing on the world stage will be very exciting.”
