Chris Liddle signs for Gloucestershire Cricket

Gloucestershire has completed the signing of former Leicestershire and Sussex seam bowler Chris Liddle on a two-year contract.
Released by Sussex at the end of last season, the 31-year-old Yorkshireman is already seen as a key addition to the Royal London One-Day Cup winners.
The 6ft 4in left armer was recommended to Gloucestershire by former captain and seam bowling spearhead Jon Lewis, a member of the coaching staff at Sussex.
A reliable performer, Middlesbrough-born Liddle spent nine years on the staff at Sussex and played for Dhaka Gladiators in the Bangladesh Premier League in 2013.
He has taken 24 first-class wickets at an average of 50.91, 69 one-day scalps at 25.47 and 68 T20 wickets at 19.16.

He’s got a lot of experience in one day and T20 cricket, having performed strongly for Sussex and he will add excellent competition to our bowling unit. It’s a great opportunity for him to come here and compete in all formats of the game as he has a lot of potential in Championship cricket. We are all looking forward to him joining up with the lads."
