Great news for Gloucestershire and Australia supporters, Cameron Bancroft has been selected to face England in the Ashes as part of the 13 man squad.
Bancroft, who has been in fine form in recent matches for Western Australia, with knocks of 76 not out, 86, and a mammoth 228 not out earlier this week have helped secure a place in the Australian side ahead of Matt Renshaw for the opening clash against England in Brisbane.

The opening test begins at 12:00 midnight UK time on Wednesday 22 November. You can watch the entire Ashes series on BT Sport 1 HD.
This will be a great opportunity for Gloucestershire and Australia fans to watch Bancroft in action in one of the most intense rivalries in world cricket, although whether it is as an opener or batting at number six remains to be seen.
Bancroft has been spoken about as a potential wicketkeeper, even though he does not hold down the role for Western Australia on a full-time basis, it is certainly something the Australian selectors will be considering.
Australian National Selector Trevor Hohns said, "Cameron has been a player of interest to us for some time now, having been unlucky to miss out on the Test tour to Bangladesh that was cancelled in 2015," he added.
"He is a very talented and tough cricketer who shows a good temperament for Test cricket.
"He has thoroughly earned and deserves his call-up following some outstanding performances in the early rounds of the JLT Sheffield Shield competition this season."
Cameron ended the season in fine form for Gloucestershire in the 2017 season, scoring a superb 206 not out against Kent at The Brightside Ground, Bristol in September.
