Black History Month 2023: David 'Syd' Lawrence in conversation with Mark Alleyne

To mark Black History Month this October, the ECB has been working with partners across the game to tell more stories of the Black community’s contribution to cricket and to celebrate #BlackCricketHeroes.

Today, in partnership with the ECB, we have launched a new film featuring a conversation between England’s first Black Coach and former England & Gloucestershire player, Mark Alleyne and David ‘Syd’ Lawrence, Gloucestershire President and former England player; two #BlackCricketHeroes themselves.
