Become Gloucestershire Cricket’s Local Charity Partner for 2022

22 November 2021

Gloucestershire Cricket is looking for an organisation to join the Club as its local Charity Partner for 2022.

By partnering with a new homegrown Bristol charity, the Club hopes to embed itself further into its locality, and is encouraging partnership applications from all kinds of charities, however big or small.

The Club is seeking a local charity partner based within a one-mile radius of Bristol County Ground, the home of Gloucestershire Cricket.

The partnership entitles the chosen charity to an attractive package including numerous revenue generating and profile raising opportunities as well as the chance to reward hardworking volunteers or those connected to the organisation. No prerequisites or previous links to the Club are necessary to apply; likewise, there will be no financial implications for the chosen charities.

Will Brown, CEO of Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’re really excited about being able to expand our horizons and launch a partnership with a brand new local charity in 2022.

“There are so many incredible charities doing great work across our county and by working with a Club that’s passionate about making a difference, our new charity partner can expect to achieve great things. We’re very keen to hear from as broad a range of charities in our communities as possible and look forward to making an impactful and positive contribution to some worthy causes next year."

Gloucestershire Cricket have recently seen tremendous success partnering with Bristol based charity LifeCycleUK, who were the Club’s local charity partner in 2020 & 2021.

The charity were at the Bristol County Ground during an August Royal London Cup fixture to spread awareness of what they do. Alongside this they were offering free bike MOT’s to supporters, who were encouraged to travel to the ground in the most environmentally friendly way, aligning with The Club’s sustainability ambitions.
