Alex Back For Crunch Game At Worcester

Alex Gidman returned to Gloucestershire's team for the vital Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Worcestershire at New Road today.

The experienced batsmen has been out of action since the first Group A game after suffering back spasms.

Alex replaced Tom Smith in the only change from the weather-ruined match against Essex at Chelmsford. No teams were announced for the abandoned fixture against Lancashire yesterday.

Gloucestershire won the toss at New Road and invited Worcestershire to bat. Victory would virtually clinch a top four finish and a quarter-final place.
