26 November 2024
Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce our full fixture list for the 2025 Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup campaigns.
Aiming for promotion back to Division One of the County Championship in 2025, Gloucestershire will get the new Division Two campaign underway away from home against Derbyshire, on Friday 4th April. The first red-ball home match of the summer for Mark Alleyne’s side will be against Glamorgan, on Friday 11th April.
First-class cricket heads to the famous Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival once again in 2025, with Lancashire and Middlesex the visitors to Cheltenham College on Tuesday 22nd July and Tuesday 29th July respectively.
Gloucestershire’s final home game of the season is against Northamptonshire on Monday 15th September while our season comes to a close away at Lord's vs Middlesex on Wednesday 24th September.
The announcement of Gloucestershire’s County Championship and One Day Cup fixtures comes just a few days after the 2025 Vitality Blast fixtures were revealed last week. For a recap on the Champions’ T20 fixture schedule, click here
Speaking with excitement ahead of the 2025 season, Interim CEO at Gloucestershire Cricket, Neil Priscott, said: "It's always an exciting day in the calendar when we receive our fixtures for the upcoming season, giving Members and supporters a first glance at what promises to be another thrilling summer of cricket in Bristol and Cheltenham.
"Everyone at the Club wants Gloucestershire to be playing Division One cricket and that's the ambition for 2025, to gain promotion in the County Championship. Couple that with the defence of our crown in the Vitality Blast and next season is set up to be thrilling from start to finish.
"It's especially pleasing to see us hosting every single one of Gloucestershire Women's home matches at either the Seat Unique Stadium or the Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival, and I hope all Members and supporters will join me in wishing the Women's team the very best of luck as they begin their journey as a Tier 2 team.
"We’re grateful to the ECB for working with us as we explored the best possible fixture outcomes for Gloucestershire in 2025. To have two championship matches at Cheltenham is really important for the success of the Festival and we’re really pleased to be offering such an attractive range of fixtures to our Members and supporters there.
"All at Gloucestershire are already excited for the start of next season and look forward to welcoming our Members and supporters back to the Seat Unique Stadium in April."
