Date - Wednesday 1 January

Event - Race Day at Cheltenham Racecourse

Event Description - Join Gloucestershire staff and players in a private marquee area to celebrate the New Year in style.  Cheltenham Racecourse will serve as a perfect backdrop to kick off the Club's 150th anniversary celebrations. 

 

Date - Wednesday 4 March

Event - Quiz Night at Bristol County Ground 

Event Description - Test your knowledge of Gloucestershire Cricket and the great game during a relaxed evening at the Bristol County Ground.  "Quizzers" will also be challenged with video rounds - only true all-rounders will prevail!

 

Date - Monday 30 March

Event - Season opening supporters' evening

Event Description - Join the entire Gloucestershire Cricket playing and coaching staff for an evening of Q&A and camaraderie at the Bristol County Ground.  Members and supporters will get their first opportunity to see the Club's special Anniversary playing kits being worn for the first time.

Date - Wednesday 13 May

Event - Schools'  Takeover Day

Event Description - Over 500 schoolchildren will take over the Bristol County Ground for the day, with classroom and cricketing activities being provided around the venue.  From playing on the outfield to cooking with the Club's chefs, it will be a day to remember for these young people. 

 

Date - TBC - late May/early June

Event - Quiz Night at Cheltenham Cricket Club

Event Description - Cheltenham Cricket Club plays host to find the most knowledgeable cricket buffs in the north of the county!  Test your knowledge of the sport in one of the county's largest and most successful clubs.

 

Date - Wednesday 24 June

Event - Gala Dinner - Bristol County Ground

Event Description - The home of Gloucestershire Cricket is the venue for the Club's flagship Bristol 150th anniversary evening celebration.  With fine food and cricketing celebrities speaking, guests will be sure to enjoy a night to remember at the height of summer. 

 

Date - Tuesday 30 June

Event - Treble Winners' Evening at Cheltenham Festival

Event Description - Club legend Mark Alleyne and teammates from the successful one-day side of the late 1990s and early 2000s will take centre stage at the conclusion of the day's play during the first week of the Cheltenham Cricket Festival.  This evening event will be heavy on nostalgia from the reign of the "Glorious Glosters". 

 

Date - Tuesday 7 July

Event - PCA Evening at Cheltenham Cricket Festival

Event Description - Enjoy an evening with cricketing legends, as Gloucestershire Cricket and the Professional Cricketers' Association combine to put on a special night during the second week of the Cheltenham Cricket Festival. 

 

Date - Sunday 26 July

Event - Community Day at the Bristol County Ground

Event Description - Gloucestershire Cricket throws open its doors for the Royal London Cup match against Lancashire.  This exciting 50 over match will see a free gate designed to attract our local residents and communities to enjoy a family fun day and to experience cricket for possibly the first time.

 

Date - July and August

Event - Gloucestershire Legends on Tour

Event Description - Mark Alleyne and many former Club greats will hit the road to play a series of celebratory matches against cricket clubs in Gloucestershire.  These matches - to be confirmed soon - will give clubs the opportunity to raise funds in tandem with Gloucestershire, as the Club seeks to showcase its grassroots outreach work. 

 

Date - Friday 7 August

Event - Stowell Park Black Tie Dinner

Event Description - Another headline occasion will see the Club, in association with the longstanding Gloucestershire Gipsies Cricket Club, enjoy a truly special occasion in the idyllic surroundings of Stowell Park, the home of Lord Vestey, former Patron and long-standing supporter of the Club.

 

Date - Thursday 17 September

Event - Corporate Cricket Day

Event Description - After many years' absence, Corporate Cricket Day returns to the Bristol County Ground, with eight teams competing in a six-a-side tournament, and players treated to the full professional experience.  Gloucestershire Cricket professionals will bolster these corporate teams as they battle it out to be crowned the best business team in the county!

Event - End of Season Awards Dinner

Event Description - A must-attend event for supporters as the Bristol County Ground once again hosts a party to end the season.  This black-tie affair will highlight all the best moments from what is sure to be a memorable year on the field. 

 

Date - Thursday 5 November

Event - Fireworks Night at Bristol County Ground

Event Description - After an absence of seven years, the Bristol County Ground will open its doors to supporters and communities from across the county to celebrate Fireworks Night with a bang!  Working with charities and local associations, the Club will host a family-friendly occasion to help bring the curtain down on an incredible 150th year. 

 

Date - Friday 11 December

Event - Members' Christmas Carvery Lunch

Event Description - The Club will look back on a momentous year, and forward to the next, in hosting a Christmas lunch for members and supporters.  Enjoy a delicious traditional Christmas lunch with players and staff in the ever-popular Grace Room in the Bristol Pavilion.
