Friends Life t20 Fixture Change
08/12/2011 12:24:26
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club (GCCC) today announced that its Friends Life t20 match v Somerset (due to be played at the County Ground, Bristol on Friday 15 June 2012) will now take place on Thursday 14 June. Venue and match timings remain the same.
Commenting on this change, GCCC’s Chief Executive, Tom Richardson, explained:
“On receiving confirmation of our fixtures for 2012, our Friends Life t20 match v Somerset clashed with England’s group match for Euro 2012 v Sweden on 15 June. We felt that the original timing of our fixture was not ideal, given that many people will wish to cheer on the National side later that day. With this in mind, and to ensure that visitors to the Nevil Ground can make the most of supporting Gloucestershire cricket and enjoying, what I am sure, will be an exciting match, Somerset agreed to our request to move the match forward to Thursday 14 June.”
