Commendation For Groundsman Sean

Gloucestershire’s Head Groundsman Sean Williams has been recognised by the England and Wales Cricket Board at their annual Groundsman-of-the-Year Awards.
Sean received a well-deserved commendation in the four-day pitch category.
Commenting on his award, Sean said: “I am delighted, not only for myself but for all the groundstaff at GCCC. I would like to thank them for all the hard work they put in during the 2011 season.”
The club also congratulates Ross Spry and his team at Cheltenham for being awarded the Outgrounds prize.
Pitches are rated by the umpires at the end of each match during the season and these ratings are used as the basis for making the awards.
