A cricket package involving a Jack Russell oil painting has raised £100,000 for the BBC Children in Need Appeal.
The package detailed below was sold at auction yesterday to a purchaser from Surrey, who put up the six-figure bid.
Jack was delighted to be involved and is looking forward to playing his part in creating a memorable day.
This was the prize on offer to the highest bidder:
· The winner and his or her pals will have the opportunity to play a game of cricket against the legendary Bunbury's at the winner’s local ground or a mutually agreeable venue.
· Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff will captain the winner's team which will include Chris Evans, Ronnie Irani, Michael Vaughan, Andrew Strauss and Darren Gough.
· On the day itself, players will have a barbecue on arrival - cooked by Jody Scheckter's Laverstoke Park Farm team.
· Man of the Match will be awarded a Cricket Bat signed by the entire current England Team!
· The match will be 25 overs each way with a break for afternoon tea – served and provided by Sainsbury's.
· As an added bonus, Jack Russell will create an oil painting encapsulating the special day on canvas for the winner from the colour notes, photos and sketches he’ll take on the day.
