Gloucestershire County Cricket Club will welcome some the new students of Ashley Down Junior School during the next few weeks.
The new school on the Brunel Field Site in Bishopston is planned to open in January 2011. However the first class of the new school will use GCCC’s Education Centre as a class room until the new school buildings are completed.
The 30 children will be based in a specially converted room in the Jessop Stand within the County Ground. They will use one of the spare tennis courts as their playground during this time.
The students will be on site during the LV=CC match against Surrey at the County Ground from 13th September but access to the Jessop stand for members will be maintained from the scoreboard entrance.
