Locations

Gloucestershire County Cricket Club currently play at three different venues, Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester. The majority of matches are played at the Club's headquarters in Bristol, but for 2 weeks in July and August the Club play the most successful festival in the world in Cheltenham.

Bristol

The County Ground, the headquarters of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is located in Bristol to the north of the City Centre. Conveniently situated a short distance from the M32 with easy access to the M4 and M5 it is now regarded highly as a venue for high class International Cricket. The capacity for the England v Australia match in 2001 was a record 15,000, bettering the previous international attendance at Nevil Road. The Bristol ground is a real fortress for Gloucestershire with the second largest playing area in England. The excellent fielding that is a trademark of Gloucestershire more often than not contributes to the defeat of visiting sides.

Cheltenham College

The C&G Cheltenham Cricket Festival is well over 100 years old and is played at the College Ground in Cheltenham. Situated in the heart of the Cotswold town, with probably the most picturesque and recognisable backdrop to a ground, the College has seen some of the most exciting cricket played in Gloucestershire. With two impressive wins against Northants and Nottinghamshire in the National League and two equally as dominant performances in the Championship, it became another unforgettable festival. Once again, Cheltenham played host to a new record in the National League when the County reached 344 for 6 in defeating Nottinghamshire.

Gloucester

Gloucestershire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that they will play two fixtures in Gloucester this season. The Club are taking two t20 fixtures on the road for the first time ever and these take place on Friday 11th and Sunday 13th June at the Kings School, Gloucester. These Friends Provident t20 matches will see the Gladiators take on the Sussex Sharks and Kent Spitfires respectively. Don’t miss out on seeing this exciting form of one day cricket in the heart of Gloucestershire.
